Vatulele, pronounced Vah-too-lay-lay is the breathtaking outcome of a dream of Emmy-award winning Australian television producer Henry Crawford : the creation of a perfect tropical escape.
It took two years to find the ideal South Seas location and three more to enhance its natural beauty with hand-made luxury, fashioning an idyllic reatreat where stressed-out guests could escape the pressures of Western society.
The result is Vatulele Resort, which since it’s opening in 1990 has developed an enviable reputation in every corner of the globe. The Gastronomy
Vatulele is well recognised for its food, ranging from Californian to Thai, Japanese, Austral/Asian and Indian - in fact, any style that suits our glorious tropical climate and laid back lifestyle.
Fresh ingredients are flown in daily from Australia and New Zealand. Naturally there is an emphasis on seafood. Because of our all inclusive tariff, there are ample opportunities to sample the contents of our first class cellar, including unlimited French champagne.
In the welcoming warm weather, meals are taken on a terrace outside our large central pavilion overlooking the lagoon. By night, tables are set under the stars and lit by lanterns and candlelight. At full moon, the 'dining room' is usually set by the water's edge. Dining is usually communal, and hosted by the management - in the style of the Captain's table on a ship.
However, don't imagine that we ignore that special occasion or the chance to have a romantic dinner for two. There are many options for private dinners, our wine cellar, in 'The Folly', or on the beach with moon and lantern light.
Diving
The quality of the scuba diving sites at Vatulele has been one of the South Pacific's well-kept secrets for many years, and only recently has it been revealed as one of the premier dive destinations in the region.
Vatulele is the only five star island resort in Fiji with a PADI ("Golden Palm" status) dive facility and resident instructors. We offer a variety of courses: 'Resort' courses, full 'Open Water' certification courses, and various specialty courses. We can offer a cross-section of diving possibilities: soft coral, hard coral and pelagics.
Underwater visibility ranges from above average to excellent and there are few currents. The island is surrounded by deep water with large 'drop-offs', offering twenty-two dive sites within fifteen minutes' travel.
There are no better circumstances to take your first steps into the exhilarating world beneath the sea.
A Unique Wedding ?
For many career-minded couples, organising a wedding takes such enormous effort that the idea of 'eloping' can be very attractive, especially when the wedding can take place in the romantic setting of Vatulele.
The service is usually held on the beach at sunset, in a 'church' with doors and windows created from plaited coconut leaves and flowers. Traditionally dressed Fijian warriors accompany the bride on a barge trip across the lagoon, and children toss flower petals in the sand as she is carried ashore to take her vows. The ceremony is accompanied by the mellow voices of a village choir raised in sublime harmony.
The vows are solemnised by a Fijian minister, and because of their popularity, they are limited to three a month. All the guests are invited: they participate in champagne toasts, the traditional Kava ceremony, a native feast cooked in pits in the ground, and later enjoy the villagers' genuine ceremonial dances.
For all concerned, a Vatulele wedding is the fantasy of a lifetime come true.

Bures
The villas or bures (pronounced 'boo-rays') are spacious and identical, enjoying easy access to the water, each with its stretch of white sand, each premium locations for a perfect wedding or hideaway.
Twelve doors open to an expansive terrace, and from the living room you walk up three steps to the bedroom, with a king size bed and a dressing area.
The bures are around 50 metres apart and are set in natural jungle, allowing privacy.
And standing apart, on a rock, right at the almost painfully blue sea you will see…
Villa The Point
A premium class bure with a commanding view of the lagoon and entire beach. It has two levels, and is the only bure with air conditioning and a pool (fresh water). Well, there are actually TWO pools! Not to mention the 2 person staff assigned on a fulltime basis.

How to get to the hotel? |
|
Vatulele Island Resort is located on Vatulele Island, one of the southern islands of Fiji. This island is a 25 minutes by light aircraft from Nadi International Airport.
There is a daily air service to Vatulele departing Nadi International Airport at 11:30 am and returning at 12:50 pm for which no tickets are needed in case you have made a reservation for the resort.

Currency
All rates shown are in USD $.
Rates Includes
Rates are per room per night, meals, beverages, excursions and most activities.
Rates Does not Include
.All rates are subject to 12.5% government tax and 3% turnover tax.
.Rates does not include scuba diving and massage treatments.
.Rates does not include personal expenditure such as shop purchases or communication charges.
Payment Requirements
For your convenience, HotelRentalGroup offers secure online payments with the following credit cards: Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Please note that, should you prefer, you are able to supply your credit card information by fax. We are unable to accept your reservation request without credit card details, though you will only be billed once your booking has been confirmed, the credit card information verified and our confirmation voucher sent to you by email.
Deposit 1
To secure the booking a 15% deposit is charged to the credit card after confirmation.
Deposit 2
A second deposit of $2,000 is required within 7 days of confirmation of reservation. Our confirmation voucher will provide you with the details of payment.
BALANCE
The balance, inclusive of accommodation, activities, meals, drinks and transfers is payable 45 days prior to client’s scheduled date of arrival. Additional cost of scuba diving (if pre-purchased) will also be payable at this time. Bookings made within 45 days of arrival are payable in full immediately.
Children Policy
Guest under the age of 12 years are not accepted at Vatulele.
CANCELLATION
Cancellations must be made and received by the Company IN WRITING either by telex or fax.
.If cancellation is received 61 days prior to arrival, then 20% of the full amount will be lost.
.If cancellation is received 60 days prior to arrival, then a cancellation fee equal to 50%
of the deposit will be charged.
.If cancellation is received 46-59 days prior to arrival, then whole amount of the deposit fee will be forfeited.
.If cancellation is received 45 days or less and more than 14 days notice then 50% cancellation fee for every night will be cancelled.
.If cancellation is received less than 14 days notice, then 100% cancellation fee for every night will apply.
.No refund will be given for the No shows or days not used due to premature departure.
LAST MINUTE BOOKINGS
In the event of a last minute booking made in Fiji, payment method is to be prearranged with our Reservations manager, and full payment for the visit must be made at our Nadi office before travel to the island.
DAYS NOT USED
No refund or credit will be given in whole or in part for days not used at the Resort resulting from late arrival or premature departure.
INSURANCE
We strongly recommend that you take out a comprehensive travel insurance policy at the time of booking, to protect you and all those accompanying you for the full time of your visit against illness, injury, death, loss of baggage and personal items, cancellation and other travel contingencies.
Minimum Stay
Four (4) nights. Minimum of five (5) is recommended.
Villa Occupancy
Two (2) persons.
Transfers
Transfers to/from Nadi International Airport come at the following extra rates per person / round trip.
Standard flight : 440 USD
Special charter flight : 1160 USD (max 4 people/ 1 way)
Daily Tariff
Payment of the tariff entitles you to your own individual beach-front villa, complimentary participation in all excursions and activities EXCLUDING scuba diving, and fishing (should it become an available activity), and all food and beverages (including alcohol). Personal expenditure such as telephones, faxes, massages and shop purchases are not included.
Liability
Internet Travel Group acts as intermediary between all hotels, transport operators, tourist attraction companies, and local tourist offices providing the services. Internet Hotel Rental Group is therefore not responsible for any loss, injury or damage sustained by the tourists; including those occurring outside of the touring programmes. Additional expenses incurred due to delay, accident, acts of God or political actions / unrest must be borne by the tourists. Programmes and prices, services and conditions are based on those valid at the time of being posted on the site. They are therefore subject to change without advance notice before or during the tour / stay / excursion / car rental. A submitted reservation request is indicative of the tourist agreement to the above conditions.

Price & Payment
Unless otherwise stated, at the time of booking only a deposit is due. The remanining balance is payable on check-in and charged by the hotel direct. hotel-savings.com accepts Visa, Mastercard & American Express.
For security purposes, should your reservation incur a charge in excess of USD 400.00, you must submit a signed credit card authorization form. This will be supplied upon confirmation of the reservation. If you fail to fax across this documentation within 48 hours, we reserve the right to cancel the reservation. Please note that as per our cancellation policy, there may be a fee for this.
Flight Information
If you are to arrive at your hotel after 5pm, please provide Hotelrentalgroup with your flight information, so that we may be able to advise the hotel of what time they can expect you. Should your flight be delayed, we strongly recommend that you contact the hotel directly to inform them of this.
Period of Stay / Rate Calculation
All stays are calculated and sold "per night". We can only guarantee a room until noon (12pm). Late check-outs can be requested at the moment of reservation in the additional comments box, but may come at an additional fee (usually 50% of the nightly rate).
Cancellation Policies & Charges
Cancellations must be received in writing by e-mail, with as much notice as possible. Penalty fees may apply. Please check the terms & conditions, as these policies vary from hotel to hotel.
Cancellation Charges On All Reservations
-On all confirmed reservations, 20% of the total amount will be lost.
-Further cancellation charges may apply depending on the hotel.

No Shows
No Shows will result in a 100% penalty fee.
Reservation & Confirmation
All reservations made on the web sites operated by hotel-savings.com will receive a temporary confirmation number. This temporary number does not mean that the hotel room is available and is only for administrative purposes. Your final confirmation will be sent to you on your official confirmation voucher within 24 hours, unless, due to unforeseen circumstances, the hotel does not get back to us within this time frame. hotel-savings.com is not responsible for any such delays.
Early departures
In addition to the standard cancellation policy, we would like to stress the point that the hotels are very strict regarding changes to the length of clients’ stays. Therefore we would like to inform you that clients departing before their booked check out date will be charged for the remaining nights and, no being made for unused nights.
Check In & Check Out Policy
Your room will be made available to you from 14h00 (unless stated otherwise in the terms & conditions of the hotel). Should you require a guaranteed early check in, the room must be booked and paid for in full for the day preceeding your stay.
Check out time is 12:00 hrs. For a guaranteed late check-out, clients should book for an additional night, charged at 100%.

All special offers, packages and discounts over our standard rates are offered subject to availability. hotel-savings.com cannot accept any responsibility in the unlikely event that these are temporarily unavailable.
Credit Card
In order to secure a room, it is mandatory to have a credit card.
General Conditions and liability
All reservations made by clients are subject to our terms and conditions. No other terms, conditions and warranties, expressed or implied by law, custom and course of dealing shall form part of any contract between hotel-savings.com and our clients except for those terms imposed by law where application is mandatory.
The client acknowledges that in making a reservation with hotel-savings.com they do so only on the basis of the material contained in the hotel-savings.com Web Site or relevant advertising medium. All other statements or representations made by hotel-savings.com, its employees, agents or sub-contractors are of no effect unless confirmed in writing by hotel-savings.com to the client.
hotel-savings.com sources hotels from various hotel companies in the countries in which it operates. The condition of the stay will be subject to the law of the country in which it is supplied to you. You will be subject to its terms and conditions and local law.
hotel-savings.com reserves the right to pass on to the client any government increase in local VAT or other taxes that may be introduced after a reservation is made. Any additional charges payable on arrival are subject to local VAT at the prevailing rate in that country.
The liability of hotel-savings.com to the client for any loss, problem, damage or cancellation, whether arising out of negligence, breach of contract, error or any other cause shall not exceed the invoiced total value of the confirmation voucher supplied by hotel-savings.com.
