Unique, intimate, romantic fun filled days.. Toberua specialises in honeymoons, weddings, or just days filled with romance.
Toberua Island Resort is an emerald set in a lapis lazuli sea. This two hectare paradise is lush with palm trees. As a guest you’ll stay in one of 15 distinctive bures, all with en-suite bathrooms, huge beds and spacious lounge areas and each distinctively appointed with traditional furnishings and weavings.
Toberua (pronounced “Tomberua”) is the good life – this is your island with nothing to interrupt the reverie. Fishing, uninhabited islands, snorkelling through the coral or observing reef life from a glass bottom boat, windsurfing, sailing or simply relaxing by the pool can fill your day. Scuba diving on the kaleidoscopic reefs is exceptional. Sample a cocktail or two and see why Toberua’s the finest in Fiji; there’s a good range of imported wines, too. Dine under the stars and delight in seafood brought in by local fisherman added with the island’s tropical fruits. The result is a delicious mixture of international and local dishes.
In keeping with the mood of Toberua Resort, there’s little need for cash here – most of the activities are complimentary. After all, relaxation and romance is what Toberua is about.

Dining under the stars
Meals are usually eaten outside, especially in the evenings, when they are taken under the stars. You'll hear the beating of the lali (Fijian drum) when the chef is ready to tempt you to our island cooking. Complimentary morning and afternoon tea is also served outside the bar, fresh fruit is available throughout the day from the dining room. Waitresses will bring you the menu wherever you are to take your lunch and dinner orders.
Nothing quite equals candles on snowy linen, stars above and gentle guitars accompanied by the murmur of the ocean to make mealtimes occasions to remember for ever.
We intentionally keep our menus international in flavour but will also offer you a choice of many intrinsically Fijian taste temptations, together with others drawn from Fiji's Indian and Chinese communities. Nature has surrounded us with a bounteous sea and we obtain our fresh sea foods from local fishermen who bring their catches right to the beach (as do many of our guests as well). Crayfish, prawns (in season), lobster and a myriad of unique crustacea provide irresistible attraction at the table - as do constant supplies of luscious tropical fruits.
Our Toberua Serenaders will gently fill your nights with music as you enjoy your meals and it may not surprise you that it is the Fijian custom for ladies to ask gentlemen to dance!
Dining alone in your bure is no problem, just say so and your meals will be brought to you there. If you have young children we prefer they eat an early dinner. To join with friends for dinner parties just ask when your order is being taken.
Spectacular Diving
Welcome to Toberua diving, where we have been classed as offering one of the best diverse diving with a variety of marine life to show. Toberua offers divers a wide range of environments, opportunities and challenges. Situated off the Eastern tip of Viti Levu, less than an hour from Suva, this exclusive paradise caters for everything a diver wishes.
Toberua offers different levels of PADI courses starting from Open Water to Dive Master. For those guests that are also keen on learning how to dive, Toberua offers morning pool sessions and we also offer a special Resort Course. This Course is non-certified but allows potential divers an opportunity to experience and explore what the world of diving is all about.
Diving at Toberua is very simple. All you need to bring with you is your desire to learn and experience all that we have to offer. Toberua also offers a complete selection of the highest quality gear at every divers disposal. We insist on nothing but the best. We use Sherwood regulators, Apollo BCD’s, fins, masks and wetsuits. We take care of all our divers gear including rinsing and storage. All that you need to do is be ready to plunge into the exciting underwater world that only Toberua can offer.
The waters surrounding Toberua, offers many superb dive sites to cater for all levels ranging from the beginners to Advanced divers. Our dive sites offer an excellent variety of hard and soft coral along with the rare magic coral. Other than the beautiful and exotic coral you can also expect to see a breath taking variety of reef sharks, schools of barracudas, travelly, grophers, giant wrasses and lots of micros.
To make your diving an enjoyable and memorable experience, we also have a team of highly skilled and professional divers
Great Snorkeling
(complimentary) Snorkling trips to the Toberua Passage are daily and snorkling from the island is good at any time. Masks, flippers and snorkels are all available for no charge from the marina bure.
(complimentary) Both Hobie Cat and Windsurfing are available for your use. Our experienced boatmen will ony be too happy to assist you during high tide.
One of the Best Fishing Sites
Fishing (complimentary) Tackle and lines are available at the marina and an experienced fisherman will accompany you almost any time you feel like it. We have rods and reels available - simply ask Tui at the marina or see the office to arrange a time. At the moment our current record is a 31kg. Saqa (Trevelli), but the record is being challenged regularly.
The Paddle Boats
Paddle Boats (complimentary) You'll find the boats and their paddles on the beach. Just help yourself when you want. If you'd rather just relax and enjoy the ride, journeys by our glass-bottom boat are offered to view the coral reefs and colorful fish.
Romantic Island Wedding
Make Toberua Island your choice to celebrate your very special day. Enjoy the warmth of the Fijian staff members who will make your special day a memorable occasion. From the picking of fresh flowers for the bride’s headdress and the groom’s lei to the preparation of the choir, every detail is attended to. Toberua Island offers an ideal location and complete privacy for your wedding. Hosting no more than 30 guests, why not book the whole island?

The evening serenades
The fabulous Toberua Serenaders will entertain you every evening (except Sundays) with both traditional and modern unplugged music and song.
Most nights they are joined by others on the staff who, like the band, love to entertain.
In the early evening you may find them outside your bure serenading you before dinner.
We are often joined on Sunday evenings by the children of Dromuna and Vitani villages with some very entertaining and spirited singing.
You may also witness our staff performing impromtu Meke's (Fijian Dance and song) from time to time and of course the occasional snake dance!

Mudre-ni-Cagi Bures
Meaning ‘gentle breeze’ (Standard)
With five of these bures on offer, each are situated on an ideal and secluded part of the island. Each of these bures has a Double Bed with two single Beds on either side. Each bure has its own mini bar, tea and coffee making facilities, large wardrobe and offer private indoor/outdoor bathrooms with a select few having their own hammocks and suspended swinging chairs on private verandahs. With the lapping of the ocean just metres from the bure and an ever present breeze, these bures are a perfect slice of relaxation. The bures are also show pieces as they are decorated with fine Fijian art that is also a testimony to Fijian culture.
Kala-ni-siga Bures
Meaning ‘breathtaking sunsets’ (Deluxe)
Nestled among the palm trees of Toberua are even more grand Fijian bures. With their high ceilings and bold beams fringed with coconut fibres delicately and painstakingly put together, these bures are a wonder to behold. Whilst still preserving the authenticity of our Fijian look, each bure discreetly provides for the modern amenities that guests require. Each bure has its own tea and coffee making facility, large wardrobe area, mini bar and comfortable indoor furniture. The huge beds that we place in each bure add to the comfort and relaxed feeling that each bure offers. A few of these select bures have their own private verandahs and hammocks. Speckled throughout the island, occupants of these bures go to sleep each night with the gentle lapping of the waves resounding off the silent whispers of the wind.
Totoka Vakaoti Bures
Meaning ‘prestigious’ (Premium)
Incorporating a blend of chiefly Fijian architecture at its finest with grand Pacific decor and soaring ceilings , these bures are the epitome of paradise as you have never experienced before. Recreating a relaxing and tropical style of outdoor living with intricately woven walls, each bure is situated on the fringes of Toberua's beach and opens up onto its own verandah directly facing Toberua
bay. With a steady South Pacific breeze blowing throughout the bure, each is equipped with a King Size and a Single Bed. Giving it a soft and pleasant glow at night are the gentle lights of the lamps cloaked in fine Fijian wraps made from tree barks and speckled with traditional designs. Other than the modern comforts of the bure, there is also comfortable lounge furniture, a mini bar, tea and coffee making facilities, spacious wardrobes as well a study desk for those quite moments. An extension of the bure, is the private and spacious bathrooms extend further into the privacy of your own open-air courtyard made up of river-stoned walls. Guests have the option of drying up under the warm tropical sky or for a little sunbathing in private. Adjacent to each bure is its own private hammock adjacent strung between coconut trees. The bures are a testimony to Fijian art they are speckled with an array of furnishings showcasing the finest of finished products of shells, barks of tree and local Fijian timber. Totoka Vakaoti Bures are a tantalizing delight waiting to be experienced!

How to get to the hotel? |
|
Toberua Island is a tiny island east of Viti Levu. Getting to Toberua is very easy and many of our first-time guests say that "getting there is half the fun!" Once you've landed in Nadi, Fiji's International Airport, it is recommended that you take a domestic connection either Air Fiji or Sun Air to Nausori. These connections have regular flights throughout the day. The other alternative is to drive or be driven along the Queens highway from Nadi to Suva then Nausori. This is approximately 3.5 - 4 hours. If you arrive at Nausori Airport in Suva, it is a ten minute taxi ride to Nakelo Landing from where the launch will transfer you out to the resort. We pick up on request 24 hours a day.

Car Transfers
.Car transfers are available from Nausori to Nakelo Landing at a rate of FJD 20.50 per car.

.Launch transfers are available from Nakelo to Toberua and from Toberua to Nakelo, the rate is of FJD 82.00 per person.

Currency
-All rates shown are in Fijian Dollars (FJD).
Rates include
-Rates are inclusive of the 12.5% Fijian taxes and of the 3% turnover tax.

-All rates include all activities except for scuba diving, massage, village visit, old capital visit, coral viewing and fishing charters.
Payment Requirements
For your convenience, Internet Travel Group offers secure online payments with the following credit cards: Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Please note that, should you prefer, you are able to supply your credit card information by fax. We are unable to accept your reservation request without credit card details, though you will only be billed once your booking has been confirmed, the credit card information verified and our confirmation voucher sent to you by email.
For all reservations
-A 20% deposit will be charged at the moment of confirmation.
-An additional 2 nights will be charged within 7 days.
- The balance is payable at the hotel directly.
Cancellation Policy
-If cancellation is received 22 days or more prior to arrival, then a 20% of the full amount will be lost as well as all bank charges.
-If a cancellation is received 21 days or less prior to arrival, then the full amount will apply as a penalty fee.
-No shows will result on the full amount being charged as a cancellation fee.
-No refund or credit will be given for unused days. We suggest you carry travel insurance.
Days Not Used
-No refund or credit will be given for days not used at Nukubati resulting from late arrival or premature departure.
Children Policy
2 children under 16 share bure with parents and return launch free.
Children Meal Supplements
.Full Buffet, Lunch Dinner will be at FJD 123.00
.Children under the age of 2 can eat free of charge.
.Children aged between 2 and 6 will pay FJD 18.00 for all meals.
.Children aged between 7 and 12 will pay FJD 41.00 for the meal plan.
.Children aged between 13 and 16 will pay FJD 56.00 for the meal plan.
Liability
Internet Hotel Rental Group acts as intermediary between all hotels, transport operators, tourist attraction companies, and local tourist offices providing the services. Internet Hotel Rental Group is therefore not responsible for any loss, injury or damage sustained by the tourists; including those occurring outside of the touring programmes. Additional expenses incurred due to delay, accident, acts of God or political actions / unrest must be borne by the tourists. Price & Payment
Unless otherwise stated, at the time of booking only a deposit is due. The remanining balance is payable on check-in and charged by the hotel direct. hotel-savings.com accepts Visa, Mastercard & American Express.
For security purposes, should your reservation incur a charge in excess of USD 400.00, you must submit a signed credit card authorization form. This will be supplied upon confirmation of the reservation. If you fail to fax across this documentation within 48 hours, we reserve the right to cancel the reservation. Please note that as per our cancellation policy, there may be a fee for this.
Flight Information
If you are to arrive at your hotel after 5pm, please provide Hotelrentalgroup with your flight information, so that we may be able to advise the hotel of what time they can expect you. Should your flight be delayed, we strongly recommend that you contact the hotel directly to inform them of this.
Period of Stay / Rate Calculation
All stays are calculated and sold "per night". We can only guarantee a room until noon (12pm). Late check-outs can be requested at the moment of reservation in the additional comments box, but may come at an additional fee (usually 50% of the nightly rate).
Cancellation Policies & Charges
Cancellations must be received in writing by e-mail, with as much notice as possible. Penalty fees may apply. Please check the terms & conditions, as these policies vary from hotel to hotel.
Cancellation Charges On All Reservations
-On all confirmed reservations, 20% of the total amount will be lost.
-Further cancellation charges may apply depending on the hotel.

No Shows
No Shows will result in a 100% penalty fee.
Reservation & Confirmation
All reservations made on the web sites operated by hotel-savings.com will receive a temporary confirmation number. This temporary number does not mean that the hotel room is available and is only for administrative purposes. Your final confirmation will be sent to you on your official confirmation voucher within 24 hours, unless, due to unforeseen circumstances, the hotel does not get back to us within this time frame. hotel-savings.com is not responsible for any such delays.
Early departures
In addition to the standard cancellation policy, we would like to stress the point that the hotels are very strict regarding changes to the length of clients’ stays. Therefore we would like to inform you that clients departing before their booked check out date will be charged for the remaining nights and, no being made for unused nights.
Check In & Check Out Policy
Your room will be made available to you from 14h00 (unless stated otherwise in the terms & conditions of the hotel). Should you require a guaranteed early check in, the room must be booked and paid for in full for the day preceeding your stay.
Check out time is 12:00 hrs. For a guaranteed late check-out, clients should book for an additional night, charged at 100%.

All special offers, packages and discounts over our standard rates are offered subject to availability. hotel-savings.com cannot accept any responsibility in the unlikely event that these are temporarily unavailable.

In order to secure a room, it is mandatory to have a credit card.

All reservations made by clients are subject to our terms and conditions. No other terms, conditions and warranties, expressed or implied by law, custom and course of dealing shall form part of any contract between hotel-savings.com and our clients except for those terms imposed by law where application is mandatory.
The client acknowledges that in making a reservation with hotel-savings.com they do so only on the basis of the material contained in the hotel-savings.com Web Site or relevant advertising medium. All other statements or representations made by hotel-savings.com, its employees, agents or sub-contractors are of no effect unless confirmed in writing by hotel-savings.com to the client.
hotel-savings.com sources hotels from various hotel companies in the countries in which it operates. The condition of the stay will be subject to the law of the country in which it is supplied to you. You will be subject to its terms and conditions and local law.
hotel-savings.com reserves the right to pass on to the client any government increase in local VAT or other taxes that may be introduced after a reservation is made. Any additional charges payable on arrival are subject to local VAT at the prevailing rate in that country.
The liability of hotel-savings.com to the client for any loss, problem, damage or cancellation, whether arising out of negligence, breach of contract, error or any other cause shall not exceed the invoiced total value of the confirmation voucher supplied by hotel-savings.com.
