The island...
Taveuni... the Garden Island with the biggest waterfalls, the densest rainforest, a volcano lake, best diving and snorkeling, is the "Garden Island" because it’s the lushest island of all. Taveuni is the third largest Fiji Island, a scenic 60-minute flight by Air Fiji or Sun Air from Nadi or Suva.
Maravu Plantation Resort is just a short 3-minute stroll from the large, private beach where guests can snorkel and explore the colourful underwater world right away.

The owners, Angela and Jochen Kiess came from Germany and found Maravu Plantation Resort in 1995 after travelling the world to find the perfect, romantic place. Fijian Style Bures
You deserve more than just a good holiday ... you will feel at home at Maravu. One of only ten Fijian bure style villas is going to be your very private hideaway, situated to face the tropical sunset.
Sleep on a king-size bed covered by a white mosquito net canopy. Comfortable bathrooms are standard, as is the minibar. All Bure except the Planters Bures have air-conditioning.
In the Honeymoon Bures and Honeymoon Deluxe Suites, there is an outdoor shower in a secluded setting next to the private sun deck and a Jacuzzi.
Each bure is well-appointed, and beautifully decorated with Fijian artwork and paintings. And, wherever you look, flowers are spread out in their full bloom, liberally adorning your tropical home.
The bures are spaced apart on our 90 acre resort, so feel the privacy around you as you relax in the hammock on the verandah. And, lest you forget time, the gentle beat of the lali drum will remind you when delicious meals are ready for you to enjoy.
Each bure comes with air-conditioning and , except for the Planters Bures, a private jacuzzi.
Planter Bure
Our Planters Bures are Bures in two Duplex Units. The rooms are completely separate with own entrance, verandah, bathroom and just one joining wall. The Duplex units have an interconnecting facility, which is ideal for a family with children having their own room. The maximum occupancy for each Bure is 3 adults or 2 adults with two children under 12 years. Garden view. Distance to the private Maravu Beach is 5 walking minutes.
Deluxe Bure
Each Bure has a large private outdoor shower and open sun deck. This Bure type has both, an inside and an outside shower and in addition to the sun deck a covered verandah. The outdoor furniture consists of Mahogany pool beds, chairs and tables. The maximum occupancy for this Bure is 3 adults or 2 adults with two children under 12 years.
Honeymoon Bure
Another three Bures are Honeymoon Bures with a private stone walled courtyard containing the outside shower and a Jacuzzi. This Bure type has both, an inside and an outside shower and in addition to the sun deck a covered verandah. The outdoor furniture consists of Mahogany pool beds, chairs and tables. The maximum occupancy for this Bure is 2 adults. All three Honeymoon Bures have Ocean-view. Distance to the private Maravu Beach is 3 walking minutes.
Honeymoon Deluxe Suite
Our top Bures are the Honeymoon Deluxe Suites
Four Suites with two rooms each, one sitting/lounging room and one sleeping room. The private open-air courtyard contains an outside shower, a sun deck and a spacious Jacuzzi Pool with waterfall. The verandah consists of a covered terrace and a large open sun deck. The outdoor furniture features Mahogany pool beds, chairs and tables. All Suites have air-conditioning. The maximum occupancy for this Bure is 2 adults. The rate for this category includes the Honeymoon Package: a bottle of champagne, fruit basket, Sulus (Fijian skirts), poolside/garden candlelight dinner, excursion to Honeymoon Island and a halfday trip to romantic Bouma Waterfalls.
Bure 1, 2 and 3 have partial Ocean-view and Bure 15 has Garden-view. Bure 15 has in addition to the outside shower an inside shower and a separate toilet. Distance to the private Maravu Beach is 4 walking minutes.
The Honeymoon Package is available for the other categories (Planters Bure, Deluxe Bure, Honeymoon Bure) at a rate of US$ 60 per person (US$ 120 per couple).
All Bures have air-conditioning and ceiling fans (except the Planters Bures which have ceiling fans and floor fans), fully stocked minibar with water, softdrinks, beers, white & red wine, champagne, chocolate bars and chips. Maravu provides all bath amenities such as hand-crafted coconut soaps, shampoo, conditioner, hair dryer, cotton pads and bath robes.

How to get to the hotel? |
|
Maravu Plantation Resort is located on Fiji's Flower Island named Taveuni, tucked amongst 56 acres of coconut groves, lush jungle gardens, tropical rainforest and a golden sandy beach. Two airlines, Sun Air and Air Fiji, fly to Taveuni Island from Nadi's International airport. The flight takes 90 minutes. There are six to seven flights daily to this remote island. There are also direct flights fromm Suva, which is a 60 min. flight. Our eager staff will meet you at Taveuni airport just after your 75-minute flight from the International Airport in Nadi, and only 5 minutes later the Maravu magic begins.

Meal Plan
The meal plan consists of a full cooked breakfast with hot dishes of your choice, a three course Gourmet lunch or packed lunch, afternoon tea/coffee with homemade cookies and a three course gourmet dinner. All dietary requirements are catered for.
Free Activities
Free activities include horseback riding, mountain bikes, kayaks, snorkelling, guided plantation walks, storytelling, several times a week Kava ceremony and entertainment with our houseband, weekly Meke (Fijian songs & dances) and Lovo (Fijian underground feast).
Honeymoon Deluxe Suite
The rate for the honeymoon deluxe suite includes a honeymoon package consisting of a bottle of champagne, fruit basket, two sulus (Fijian skirts), an excursion to Honeymoon Island and a half day trip to romantic Bouma waterfalls.
Oceanview Spa Villa
The rate for the oceanview spa villa includes a spa package consisting of two Maravu bath robes, two Maravu massages (25 minutes each), two traditional Fijian scalp massages (15 minutes each) and two pure Fiji body scrubs (25 minutes each).
The Tree house
The rate for the threehouse includes a treehouse package consisting of two Maravu Massages, fruit basket, two sulus (fijan skirts), half day trip to romantic Bouma Waterfalls and a half day Westcoast Tour.
Payment Requirements
For your convenience, Internet Travel Group offers secure online payments with the following credit cards: Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Please note that, should you prefer, you are able to supply your credit card information by fax. We are unable to accept your reservation request without credit card details, though you will only be billed once your booking has been confirmed, the credit card information verified and our confirmation voucher sent to you by email.
For all reservations
-A 20% deposit will be charged at the moment of confirmation.
-The hotel will charge the balance a few days later.
Cancellation Policy
-If cancellation is received 16 days or more prior to arrival, then a 20% of the full amount will be lost.
-If a cancellation is received 15 days or less prior to arrival, then the full amount will apply as a penalty.
-No shows will result on the full amount being charged as a cancellation fee.
Children Policy
-Children over the age of 12 are considered as adults.
-Children under the age of 12 will get a 50% discount on room rates.
-Children under 12 will get a 50% discount on meal rates.
-Children requiring their own room are charged as adults.

Price & Payment
Unless otherwise stated, at the time of booking only a deposit is due. The remanining balance is payable on check-in and charged by the hotel direct. hotel-savings.com accepts Visa, Mastercard & American Express.
For security purposes, should your reservation incur a charge in excess of USD 400.00, you must submit a signed credit card authorization form. This will be supplied upon confirmation of the reservation. If you fail to fax across this documentation within 48 hours, we reserve the right to cancel the reservation. Please note that as per our cancellation policy, there may be a fee for this.
Flight Information
If you are to arrive at your hotel after 5pm, please provide Hotelrentalgroup with your flight information, so that we may be able to advise the hotel of what time they can expect you. Should your flight be delayed, we strongly recommend that you contact the hotel directly to inform them of this.
Period of Stay / Rate Calculation
All stays are calculated and sold "per night". We can only guarantee a room until noon (12pm). Late check-outs can be requested at the moment of reservation in the additional comments box, but may come at an additional fee (usually 50% of the nightly rate).
Cancellation Policies & Charges
Cancellations must be received in writing by e-mail, with as much notice as possible. Penalty fees may apply. Please check the terms & conditions, as these policies vary from hotel to hotel.
Cancellation Charges On All Reservations
-On all confirmed reservations, 20% of the total amount will be lost.
-Further cancellation charges may apply depending on the hotel.

No Shows
No Shows will result in a 100% penalty fee.
Reservation & Confirmation
All reservations made on the web sites operated by hotel-savings.com will receive a temporary confirmation number. This temporary number does not mean that the hotel room is available and is only for administrative purposes. Your final confirmation will be sent to you on your official confirmation voucher within 24 hours, unless, due to unforeseen circumstances, the hotel does not get back to us within this time frame. hotel-savings.com is not responsible for any such delays.
Early departures
In addition to the standard cancellation policy, we would like to stress the point that the hotels are very strict regarding changes to the length of clients’ stays. Therefore we would like to inform you that clients departing before their booked check out date will be charged for the remaining nights and, no being made for unused nights.
Check In & Check Out Policy
Your room will be made available to you from 14h00 (unless stated otherwise in the terms & conditions of the hotel). Should you require a guaranteed early check in, the room must be booked and paid for in full for the day preceeding your stay.
Check out time is 12:00 hrs. For a guaranteed late check-out, clients should book for an additional night, charged at 100%.

All special offers, packages and discounts over our standard rates are offered subject to availability. hotel-savings.com cannot accept any responsibility in the unlikely event that these are temporarily unavailable.

In order to secure a room, it is mandatory to have a credit card.
General Conditions and liability
All reservations made by clients are subject to our terms and conditions. No other terms, conditions and warranties, expressed or implied by law, custom and course of dealing shall form part of any contract between hotel-savings.com and our clients except for those terms imposed by law where application is mandatory.
The client acknowledges that in making a reservation with hotel-savings.com they do so only on the basis of the material contained in the hotel-savings.com Web Site or relevant advertising medium. All other statements or representations made by hotel-savings.com, its employees, agents or sub-contractors are of no effect unless confirmed in writing by hotel-savings.com to the client.
hotel-savings.com sources hotels from various hotel companies in the countries in which it operates. The condition of the stay will be subject to the law of the country in which it is supplied to you. You will be subject to its terms and conditions and local law.
hotel-savings.com reserves the right to pass on to the client any government increase in local VAT or other taxes that may be introduced after a reservation is made. Any additional charges payable on arrival are subject to local VAT at the prevailing rate in that country.
The liability of hotel-savings.com to the client for any loss, problem, damage or cancellation, whether arising out of negligence, breach of contract, error or any other cause shall not exceed the invoiced total value of the confirmation voucher supplied by hotel-savings.com.
