Matana is a small and relaxing beachfront resort, no roads, no cars, no hassles.
Set in lush tropical gardens, fronted by a beautiful all-tide sandy beach fringed with coconut palms, Matana is your island paradise.

With Only 10 bures (bungalows) our small resort ensures that your privacy is protected and you have a room to explore.
Still Matana offers a wide range of activities for your enjoyment. For those inclined to get wet why not try scuba diving, snorkelling, kayaking, swimming and fishing.
When your done with water sports, trekking, bird-watching, village visits, photography... simply relax on the beach with a book from our swap library. Massage is also available.
Be as relaxed or as active as you want.
Matana has a full dive facility with Padi Instructor and Dive Masters, a full compliment of hire gear and learn to dive courses are available.
A great way to explore Kadavu's virgin coral reefs.
Our bures(bungalows) provide comfortable, spacious accommodation with modern conveniences.
Relax and enjoy Matana's spectacular sunsets with a drink from our Beach Bar, or enjoy the ambience before dinner with a drink from our fully stocked lounge Bar.

Matana doesn't need to build a swimming pool, we have the biggest pool in the world - the Pacific Ocean. Clean sandy base, aqua water and no chemicals! - Makes swimming such a pleasure.
Just sixty feet along the beach from the resort are some nice coral heads - Great for snorkeling.
Kayaks, Paddleboards, Body boards are all available for guest use, free of charge. Dive gear, Snorkeling gear and Underwater Cameras are available for hire.
Fishing can be arranged either in a resort boat or village boat.
We have two Bars, the Lounge Bar and the Beach Bar. Both are lovely spots to view the sunset.
The lounge area has a Library of approx two thousand paperbacks, hard cover books and magazines for those that enjoy reading.
Boat & Driver hire is available - by arrangement.
Ice Machine - self serve. Water- Fiji bottled water is for sale at the bar.
Read before Travelling!
. Banking - There are no banks on Kadavu. Should you need to have cash, we can exchange $US & $Aust. The resort accepts travellers checks, US cash, Fijian cash, Visa & Mastercard. Please Note that American Express is not accepted.
. Bar - The Lounge Bar is open daily from 11.00am to 9.30pm daily. We stock an extensive range of wines, spirits and Fijian beers. Naturally the Cocktail of the Day is always available. Beach bar opens in the afternoon until dinner.
. Business Services - We have a limited ability to offer business services, after all, we are a dive resort. Email can be sent and received at a cost, as can facsimiles. Because of our remote location, communications are via a radio phone line. This makes them both costly and often very slow.
. Catering - Please advise us in advance if you require anything special. It may be vegetarian meals, a birthday or some other special occasion.
. Church Services - There is a lovely church in the village next to the resort. Guests of the resort are invited to attend the Sunday Services.
. Dress Code - The resort is a very casual environment. We suggest that you dress to the standard that you would like whilst at Matana Beach Resort. The Fijian people are very modest and we ask that you respect their customs and traditions by avoiding revealing clothing outside the resort.
. Drinking Water - The resort collects its own water from rainfall for showers, etc. Bottled water is also available for purchase from the bar.
. Electricity - The resort produces its own power through the day via a generator. For the times that the generator is not running, we operate on an invertor system. Please ask the staff before plugging in anything that uses a lot of power ie hairdryer. The power is 240 volts/50 cycles.
. Laundry - Because of the damage that detergent does to the marine ecosystem, we do not offer a laundry service for guests. Please attempt to minimise your need for laundry.
. Pool - Our all tide beach offers soft white sand and the perfect place to take a splash. We don't have a swimming pool as such.
. Restaurant - Located in the elevated dining area, we serve a variety of local and international dishes. Meals are order off the blackboard or buffet style. We always have fresh fish available when it is caught.
. Telephone Calls - Because of the isolated location, the resort only has 1 radio telephone link. Guest calls can be made and received but please be aware that outgoing calls incur higher rate than normal charges.
. Transport - Once you are on the island there are very few roads. In fact the resort can only be reached by water.
. Trips and Day Tours - We offer a range of special activities that include beach picnics, island tours, half and full day kayaking, trekking(waterfall trek).
. Weddings - We can arrange a truly memorable wedding and reception for you. We want you to be able to have your special day the way you want it. Whether you chose a traditional or classic wedding, you will not be disappointed.

Matana - has just 10 bures & accommodates a maximum of only 24 guests at any one time.
Each bure has it's own ensuite (hot water), ceiling fans, bed-lamps, queen size bed, or 2 singles, verandah, fly screening, fridge, external rinse shower, 24 hour power, etc.
Two of the bures have two bedrooms and can accommodate up to four people. They are ideal for families / friends. The remaining eight bures can each accommodate 1, 2, or 3 people. Built in a more modern - traditional style, they blend into the lush gardens and are roomy enough to allow space for relaxing in your private time.
All bures have direct access to the beach, dive shop, dining/lounge rooms, bars and activities toys. They are powered with 240V electricity which is generated by the resort's own power plant. An inverter system is used between 9.30pm & 7am, and powers, fans & lights.
8 of the bures are beachfront bures , the 2 others have oceanview.

How to get to the hotel? |
|
We suggest that if you are travelling to Matana Beach Resort, that you try to arrive in Nadi in the morning to avoid having to stay overnight. Please check directly with your airline for their baggage allowance limits. It is often a good idea to ask the airline/travel agent to arrange an extra allowance. Kadavu Island is serviced from both Nadi and Suva airports on a daily basis. Sunair flies from Nadi and Air Fiji flies from Suva. Only 15 minutes from Kadavu airport, you are quickly at your bure and this unique world. Transfers to/from Kadavu Airport are included.

Mandatory Surcharge
-There is a mandatory surcharge of USD 50.00 for all stays including christmas day. This surcharge is a one off, not a daily surcharge.
Currency
All rates shown are in US Dollars (USD).
Rates include
-All rates shown are per room/suite and include all taxes.
-Rates also include 3 meals per day.
Airport Transfers
-Boat airport transfers will be complimentary for all stays of 3 days or more.
-For stays of 3 days or less, a USD 15.00 transfer fee will be charged.
Payment Requirements
For your convenience, Internet Hotel Rental Group offers secure online payments with the following credit cards: Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Please note that, should you prefer, you are able to supply your credit card information by fax. We are unable to accept your reservation request without credit card details, though you will only be billed once your booking has been confirmed, the credit card information verified and our confirmation voucher sent to you by email.
Deposit
.A 20% down payment will be taken from your card at the moment of confirmation.
.The balance will be charged by the hotel directly 45 days prior to arrival.
Cancellation Policy
-If cancellation is received 47 days or more prior to arrival, then a 20% of the full amount will be lost
.If cancellaton is recieved 46-45 then a USD 200.00 fee per person will be charged.
-If a cancellation is received between 45 and 21 days prior to arrival, a 50% cancellation fee will apply.
-If a cancellation is received 21 days or less, then the full amount will result as a penalty fee.
-No shows will result on the full amount being charged as a cancellation fee.
Children Policy
-Children under the age of 2 can stay free of charge. There will be no charge for cots or highchairs.
-Children aged between 2 and 12 will get a 60% discount on the room rates.
.No charged for cot/high chair.
-Children over the age of 12 are considered as adults.
-Children requiring their own room are charged as adults.
Liability
Internet Travel Group acts as intermediary between all hotels, transport operators, tourist attraction companies, and local tourist offices providing the services. Internet Hotel Rental Group is therefore not responsible for any loss, injury or damage sustained by the tourists; including those occurring outside of the touring programs. Additional expenses incurred due to delay, accident, acts of God or political actions / unrest must be borne by the tourists. Programs and prices, services and conditions are based on those valid at the time of being posted on the site. They are therefore subject to change without advance notice before or during the tour / stay / excursion / car rental. A submitted reservation request is indicative of the tourist agreement to the above conditions.

Price & Payment
Unless otherwise stated, at the time of booking only a deposit is due. The remanining balance is payable on check-in and charged by the hotel direct. hotel-savings.com accepts Visa, Mastercard & American Express.
For security purposes, should your reservation incur a charge in excess of USD 400.00, you must submit a signed credit card authorization form. This will be supplied upon confirmation of the reservation. If you fail to fax across this documentation within 48 hours, we reserve the right to cancel the reservation. Please note that as per our cancellation policy, there may be a fee for this.
Flight Information
If you are to arrive at your hotel after 5pm, please provide Hotelrentalgroup with your flight information, so that we may be able to advise the hotel of what time they can expect you. Should your flight be delayed, we strongly recommend that you contact the hotel directly to inform them of this.
Period of Stay / Rate Calculation
All stays are calculated and sold "per night". We can only guarantee a room until noon (12pm). Late check-outs can be requested at the moment of reservation in the additional comments box, but may come at an additional fee (usually 50% of the nightly rate).
Cancellation Policies & Charges
Cancellations must be received in writing by e-mail, with as much notice as possible. Penalty fees may apply. Please check the terms & conditions, as these policies vary from hotel to hotel.
Cancellation Charges On All Reservations
-On all confirmed reservations, 20% of the total amount will be lost.
-Further cancellation charges may apply depending on the hotel.
Please check the specific terms & conditions for each hotel.
No Shows
No Shows will result in a 100% penalty fee.
Reservation & Confirmation
All reservations made on the web sites operated by hotel-savings.com will receive a temporary confirmation number. This temporary number does not mean that the hotel room is available and is only for administrative purposes. Your final confirmation will be sent to you on your official confirmation voucher within 24 hours, unless, due to unforeseen circumstances, the hotel does not get back to us within this time frame. hotel-savings.com is not responsible for any such delays.
Early departures
In addition to the standard cancellation policy, we would like to stress the point that the hotels are very strict regarding changes to the length of clients’ stays. Therefore we would like to inform you that clients departing before their booked check out date will be charged for the remaining nights and, no being made for unused nights.
Check In & Check Out Policy
Your room will be made available to you from 14h00 (unless stated otherwise in the terms & conditions of the hotel). Should you require a guaranteed early check in, the room must be booked and paid for in full for the day preceeding your stay.
Check out time is 12:00 hrs. For a guaranteed late check-out, clients should book for an additional night, charged at 100%.

All special offers, packages and discounts over our standard rates are offered subject to availability. hotel-savings.com cannot accept any responsibility in the unlikely event that these are temporarily unavailable.
Credit Card
In order to secure a room, it is mandatory to have a credit card.
General Conditions and liability
All reservations made by clients are subject to our terms and conditions. No other terms, conditions and warranties, expressed or implied by law, custom and course of dealing shall form part of any contract between hotel-savings.com and our clients except for those terms imposed by law where application is mandatory.
The client acknowledges that in making a reservation with hotel-savings.com they do so only on the basis of the material contained in the hotel-savings.com Web Site or relevant advertising medium. All other statements or representations made by hotel-savings.com, its employees, agents or sub-contractors are of no effect unless confirmed in writing by hotel-savings.com to the client.
hotel-savings.com sources hotels from various hotel companies in the countries in which it operates. The condition of the stay will be subject to the law of the country in which it is supplied to you. You will be subject to its terms and conditions and local law.
hotel-savings.com reserves the right to pass on to the client any government increase in local VAT or other taxes that may be introduced after a reservation is made. Any additional charges payable on arrival are subject to local VAT at the prevailing rate in that country.
The liability of hotel-savings.com to the client for any loss, problem, damage or cancellation, whether arising out of negligence, breach of contract, error or any other cause shall not exceed the invoiced total value of the confirmation voucher supplied by hotel-savings.com.
